The Speed Auto Clicker Guide

Everything the extension can do — what each control means, when to reach for it, and how to get the most out of every run.

Start here

Quick start #

Your first automated click in three steps — no sign-in needed.

  1. Add a point. Open the widget (Alt+A) and press Add point, then click where you want it on the page. A violet crosshair marker appears.
  2. Set the interval. Type how often to click — e.g. 1000 ms (once a second) or as low as 1 ms.
  3. Press Play. The clicker fires your point on repeat. Press Esc — or the red ■ — to stop at any time.

Tip: add several points and the clicker cycles through them in order, one per interval. Up to 100 points per page.

Need a break? Pause keeps your points, cycle count and click stats exactly as they are — Resume picks up right where you left off. Stopping resets the run; pausing does not.

Install & setup #

Install, pin, done. There is nothing to configure before your first run.

Install from the Chrome Web Store, then open the popup with Alt+A (or the toolbar icon) on any page and the floating widget appears.

Pin it to your toolbar for one-click access: click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar, then the pin next to Speed Auto Clicker.

Where it can't run. Speed Auto Clicker works on regular web pages (http / https). It can't run on Chrome's own pages (chrome://), the Web Store, or other extensions' pages — that's a browser rule, not a bug.

Click points #

Points are the fixed spots on the page the clicker fires, one after another, on your interval.

2 Order number the cycle visits 1 → 2 → 3 Delete appears on hover Pupil the exact pixel that gets clicked Drag to re-aim even mid-run STORED AS page coordinates
Every marker is a live control. Points are stored in page coordinates, so they stay locked to the content when you scroll.

How it works

  • Add: press Add point (or the add-point shortcut), then click the target. Keep clicking to add more; press Esc when you're done.
  • Move: drag a marker to reposition it — even while the clicker is running.
  • Remove: hover a marker to reveal its delete (×) button, or use the point's row in the widget. Reset clears all of them.

Points are numbered in the order you place them, and with several points the clicker visits them in that exact order every cycle — one point per interval tick.

Reload the same page and your points come back — stopped, not running. The working set for that tab is remembered, so an accidental refresh no longer costs you the layout. Open a different page and you start clean. To keep a layout you use often, save it as a Sequence.

Free

Cursor mode #

Instead of fixed points, click wherever your mouse cursor currently is.

POINTS MODE You place the targets — it walks them in order CURSOR MODE It clicks wherever you point — you aim by hand
Two ways to aim. Points is for repeatable layouts; Cursor is for a target that moves — or one you'd rather chase by hand.

Switch the widget to Cursor and the clicker fires at the live pointer position. Handy when the target moves, or when you'd rather aim by hand than place a marker — a button that shifts, say, or rapid-clicking one spot you're already hovering.

Cursor mode announces itself with a page banner in its own lime colour, naming the key that starts the run. Once running, a second banner states the keys that pause and stop it, so you're never left hunting for the brake.

It pauses itself when it can't click. Move the pointer onto the widget, or off the page entirely, and the run goes amber and waits — counters kept, nothing lost. Bring the pointer back and it resumes on its own.

Free

Interval #

How long to wait between clicks — the single dial that sets your pace.

1 ms10 ms100 ms1000 ms floorvery fastbriskonce a second stress tests, idle games forms, UI walkthroughs, polling Lower is faster. Every value on this scale is free.
Set it in milliseconds or seconds — use the stepper arrows or just type a value.

Anywhere from a relaxed 1000 ms down to 1 ms. There is no paywall on the scale: the whole range, floor included, is part of the free extension.

Pick a sane speed. Very small intervals click extremely fast — great for tests, overkill for most pages. If a page struggles to keep up at 1 ms, that's the page, not the clicker (see Boost and Troubleshooting).

Free

Humanize #

Adds a small random spread to your interval so clicks aren't perfectly metronomic.

HUMANIZE OFF identical gaps — machine-exact HUMANIZE ON
Each wait is nudged by a random ± percentage. The dashed ticks mark where a perfectly even click would have landed.

Real clicking isn't perfectly even; Humanize makes the rhythm look natural instead of machine-exact. Leave it off when you need precise, repeatable timing — a benchmark, or anything you'll measure.

Free

Hold #

Press and hold the mouse button for a set time, instead of a quick click.

NORMAL CLICK down and up in the same instant HOLD held downheld down your duration
Down, wait, up. The pause between press and release is the duration you set.

Enable Hold and set a duration — the clicker presses down, waits, then releases. Useful for charge-up actions, press-and-hold buttons, or anything that reacts to how long the button is down rather than a tap.

Free

Click settings #

Which mouse button, and how many clicks per trigger.

MOUSE BUTTON LRM leftright — opensmiddle — opens context menuslinks in new tabs CLICKS PER TRIGGER ×1×2×3 singledouble-clicktriple-click Both live under More settings in the panel.
The multiplier fires on every trigger — a ×2 at 500 ms is a double-click twice a second, not four single clicks.

Under More settings, choose the button — Left, Right or Middle — and a multiplier of ×1, ×2 or ×3 for double- and triple-clicks on every fire.

Never opened More settings? It's the divider under the main controls — on a fresh install it bobs once to show it's a drawer. Everything in this section lives behind it.

The widget #

The floating controller that lives on the page — in three sizes, so it's there when you need it and out of the way when you don't.

TAB an ambient handle MINI 4.0 BOOSTMAXAWAKE the compact pill: transport, speed and the POWER row PANEL ⚡ Quick points 4.0 POINTSCYCLESCLICKSELAPSED 31283841:04 Running — clicking your points + Add point the full controller — every setting, the point list, live stats
One dial, one language. The same controller renders in the popup and on the page, so nothing has to be re-learned between them.
  • Tab — a small handle on the edge. Click it to open your player.
  • Mini — the compact pill: Play/Stop, speed, live stats and the POWER row.
  • Panel — the full controller with every setting and the point list.

Drag it anywhere by the top grip. Closing it (✕) dismisses it and stops a live run, so clicking can never continue invisibly; opening the toolbar popup brings it back. Collapsing to the tab is different — it keeps both your points and the run going.

A fresh page shows the quiet edge tab rather than slamming a panel in front of you. Reload the same page and it restores the exact surface you left — mini to mini, panel to panel.

POWER overview #

Three extra gears for when plain clicking isn't enough — Boost, MAX and Awake.

Boost

Holds your chosen speed when a heavy page starts to drag.

MAX

Drops the interval entirely and clicks at the page's own ceiling.

Awake

Keeps clicking while the tab is in the background — and stops the machine sleeping.

POWER features are part of Pro, but you can try each one free on every run — a taste, right from the widget, before you decide. Normal clicking (down to 1 ms) is always free and unchanged; POWER only adds capability on top.

The free taste is per run, not per day. Start a new run and you get it again — there's no daily allowance to burn through and no countdown to a lockout.

This chapter covers everything Pro unlocks today. We update it as Pro grows — new capability lands here first.

Boost #

Holds your chosen speed even when a heavy page starts to lag.

run starts page gets heavier → effective rate the rate you asked for without Boost with Boost — held on pace what you would lose
Boost dispatches several clicks per tick so the rate you actually get stays close to the rate you asked for.

What it does: on a busy page the browser can't always fire your interval on time. Boost sends a burst of clicks per tick, so your effective rate stays close to what you set instead of drooping when the page gets heavy. On a light page that reaches into the thousands of clicks per second.

When to use: a page that visibly falls behind your interval — Boost keeps it on pace. It engages by itself when it detects lag, or you can turn it on from the POWER row. Works on a single point or in Cursor mode.

Free taste: a free minute of Boost on every run. Pro keeps it on for the whole run.

MAX #

Ignores the interval and clicks as fast as the page can physically take it.

this page's ceiling Interval Boost MAX MAX elsewhere a heavier page has a lower one
There is no single "MAX number". The ceiling belongs to the page, so the top rate depends on where you run it.

What it does: MAX drops the wait entirely and fires at the page's own ceiling — the fastest a given page can accept clicks. Different pages have different ceilings, so the top rate depends on the site.

When to use: a single target where you want raw maximum throughput. Like Boost, it applies to one point or Cursor mode — it can't spread across many points.

Free taste: a free minute of MAX on every run. Pro keeps it on for the whole run.

MAX works the page as hard as it will go. The clicker watches the page and eases off by itself if things get rough — but on a genuinely heavy site, expect the tab to feel busy while it runs.

Awake #

Keeps clicking even when the tab is in the background or hidden.

WITHOUT AWAKE another tab clicker Chrome throttles the hidden tab — the run crawls or stalls WITH AWAKE another tab clicker full speed while hidden — and the machine stays awake
Two problems, one switch: browser throttling of background tabs, and the computer going to sleep under a long unattended run.

What it does: Chrome deliberately slows down tabs you switch away from, which would normally stall the clicker. Awake routes around that throttling so your clicks keep firing at full speed while you work in another tab. It also keeps your computer from going to sleep while it runs — so a long, unattended run (even overnight) doesn't quietly stop when the machine would otherwise sleep.

When to use: anything that has to keep running while you're not looking at the page — long unattended runs, background tasks, idle games.

Free taste: a free 5 minutes of Awake on every run — a background feature needs a bit longer to appreciate. Pro keeps it on for the whole run.

Sequences #

Save a set of points so you can reuse it later without placing them again.

⚡ Quick points 3 pts ⚡ Quick points unsaved Daily check-in 5 pts Idle game loop 2 pts Form stress test 12 pts the switcher save the current set the scratchpad — gold when unsaved saved layouts, available on any page
Quick points is the unsaved scratchpad — the gold bookmark means you have points worth naming.

A Sequence is how you keep a layout across pages and browser restarts — the per-tab memory only covers reloading the same page. Save the current points under a name, switch between saved sequences from the switcher at the top of the panel, and manage them from the kebab (⋮) menu.

Switching to a different sequence pauses the current run, so nothing keeps clicking behind your back.

The free tier keeps 3 saved sequences; Pro lifts the cap.

Priority support #

A faster lane to a real answer when something goes wrong.

What it does: support requests from Pro subscribers are flagged and answered ahead of the general queue.

How to use it: email support@speedclicker.app with your Paddle receipt email and, when restoring Pro on another browser, the Client ID from Manage → Account. Never include the v4 proof secret.

Keyboard shortcuts #

Two keys do the real work: one holds the run, the other ends it.

Ctrl⇧S Pause / resume counters and points kept Esc Stop from running or paused
They split cleanly. The hotkey is a toggle — press it again to carry on. Esc is the brake, and it works from either state.

Chrome assigns the defaults below — the same four keys on every platform. The three you press while working sit under your left hand alone, because your other hand is on the mouse: you point, then press. On a Mac, Ctrl here means the real Control key, not .

ActionWindows / LinuxmacOS
Start the run · pause & resume itCtrl+Shift+SControl+Shift+S
Stop the runEscEsc

Switch Points ⇄ Cursor modeCtrl+Shift+KControl+Shift+K
Widget size: panel → mini → tabCtrl+Shift+YControl+Shift+Y
Open the popupno default — click the toolbar icon, or assign your own

Prefer different keys? Re-map every one of them — including the popup, which ships unassigned because Chrome allows an extension only four defaults — at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Inside the widget, nudge whichever number you are standing in (interval, hold, humanize) and PgUp PgDn take a bigger step. The extension reads your real bindings and names them in its own on-page hints, so the banners always show the keys you set.

Esc is handled by the page itself rather than by Chrome, so it needs the page focused — click anywhere on the page first if you've been typing in the address bar. The red ■ in the widget always stops a run too.

Troubleshooting #

The five things people actually run into, and what to do about each.

The clicker isn't clicking

Reload the page so the extension re-attaches, then reopen the widget. Make sure it's a normal http/https page — not chrome://, the Web Store, or another extension's page.

It seems to click the wrong element

The widget briefly hides itself at click time to find the real target underneath, and it reaches inside open Web Components. If a point has drifted because the page re-laid itself out, drag its marker to re-aim.

A fast run makes the page lag or freeze

Very low intervals on a heavy page can overwhelm the page, not the extension. The clicker paces itself to stay responsive and will pause a run rather than let a tab wedge. Ease the interval up, or use Boost to hold a realistic rate.

Clicks stop when I switch tabs

That's Chrome throttling background tabs. Awake keeps clicking while the tab is hidden.

A cursor run keeps going amber on its own

That's the automatic pause, not a fault: in Cursor mode the clicker won't fire while your pointer is over the widget itself or off the page. It says Waiting and resumes by itself when the pointer comes back. See Cursor mode.

FAQ #

Short answers to the questions we get most.

Is it safe to use?

Speed Auto Clicker automates clicks in your own browser — nothing leaves your machine to make a click happen. Whether automation is allowed on a given site or game is up to that service's own rules, so check them before heavy use.

How many points can I add?

Up to 100 per page. Past that the extension refuses politely rather than silently dropping one.

Do my settings save?

Interval, Humanize, click settings and similar preferences persist across reloads, and so do the points you placed on that tab — they come back stopped, never running.

Moving to a different page starts fresh. Save a layout as a Sequence to carry it anywhere.

What's free and what's Pro?

All the core clicking is free, including the full interval range down to 1 ms, all 100 points, Cursor mode, Humanize, Hold and the click settings.

POWER — Boost, MAX and Awake — plus higher sequence limits are Pro, with a free taste of each on every single run.

Does it need an account?

No sign-in is needed for core clicking or an extension-linked Pro checkout. Optional Google sign-in creates an account for cross-browser access. If Pro is missing on another browser, contact support with that browser's Client ID from Manage → Account and your purchase email.

Will it keep running if I close the tab?

No — the clicker lives on the page, so closing the tab ends the run. Awake covers the other case: a tab that's still open but hidden behind another one.

Can I use it on more than one computer?

Yes. A Pro licence can be linked to multiple browser profiles — see the Pro page for the current allowance. To restore Pro on another browser, contact support with that profile's Client ID from Manage → Account and your purchase email.

That's the whole extension.

Everything above is one install away — and the core of it never costs anything.
